Description:

Very exciting news! We’re doing the first 100 miles of the Camino together.

This iconic hike is a transformational experience. People travel from all over the world to walk the 500 mile pilgrimage across northern Spain. Some do it all in one go and some do it in stages over time. OneWalk is setting you up to approach it in the way that is most suitable to you. Although the trail does not require previous hiking experience, you can expect to be challenged on a physical and emotional level.

OneWalk will guide you on the first 100 miles of this journey. Our goal is to introduce you to the Camino, and help you develop the confidence and competence you need to carry on with the journey in meeting your goals. You will be ready to launch out on your own at the end of our week, or travel home with possible plans to return and do more of the trail at another time. Rest assured,  even if you embark on this hike alone, you will make many friends along the way.

We will meet in Biarritz, France, on September 23, 2023, for an opening dinner. The next day we will travel by train to the trailhead of St-Jean-Pied-de-Port. On September 24th, we will begin walking.

The trail begins with a challenging day, taking us over the Pyrenees into Spain. This day is thought by many to be the most difficult stage of the Camino and one of the most beautiful. The following 6 stages lead us through villages, countryside and the cities of Pamplona and Lagrono, where our trip will end. We will finish walking on October 1, and you will be free to travel on or begin your return journey on October 2, 2024.

This special opportunity is designed for the person who has been holding the dream of hiking the Camino. It is your time! You do not need to come with a friend, and in fact, it will likely be a richer experience if you don’t. Your life will not be the same because you will not be the same.

Shawn and Andy will be hiking the pilgrimage with you, supporting you the entire way. You will have room to hike at our own pace and socialize with whomever you meet. It will be your experience. It’s such a special trail.

We will have 3 zoom calls before departure to discuss gear and the physical and spiritual preparation needed to live the full experience.
